⚠️ Account deletion is permanent
Once deleted, your account and personal data cannot be recovered. Please read this page carefully before proceeding.
Method 1 — Delete from the App (Recommended)
The easiest way to delete your account is directly from the DuoWallet app:
- Open DuoWallet and sign in.
- Tap the Profile tab (bottom right).
- Scroll down and tap Settings.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation message and tap Delete Permanently.
Your account will be deleted immediately and you will be signed out.
Method 2 — Request via Email
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by email:
- Send an email to support@evrydaysolutions.com.
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request".
- Include the email address associated with your DuoWallet account.
- We will process your request within 7 business days and confirm by email.
What Data Is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your user profile (name, email, phone number)
- Your personal expense logs
- Your savings goals
- Your budget settings
- Your subscription status and payment history
- Your account credentials
What May Be Retained
The following may be retained for a limited period:
- Shared group expenses: Expenses you logged in a split group or couple group are part of a shared record. Your personal identity will be removed from these records, but the expense amounts and categories may be retained in anonymised form for the remaining group members.
- Legal and compliance records: We may retain minimal transaction records as required by applicable Indian law (e.g., for tax or fraud prevention purposes) for up to 5 years.
Subscription Cancellation
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately before or after deleting your account:
- iOS: iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → DuoWallet → Cancel Subscription
- Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → DuoWallet → Cancel
- Website (Razorpay): Annual plans do not auto-renew. No action needed.
Once your account is deleted, any active subscription will simply not renew.
Signing in with Apple
If you signed up using Sign in with Apple, we recommend also revoking DuoWallet's access in your Apple settings after deleting your account:
- Go to iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Password & Security → Apps Using Apple ID.
- Tap DuoWallet.
- Tap Stop Using Apple ID.
Data Deletion Timeline
- Immediate: Your account is deactivated and you are signed out.
- Within 30 days: All personal data is permanently purged from our active databases.
- Backups: Residual data in encrypted backups is overwritten within 90 days.
