DuoWallet ("we", "our", "us") is a product of Everyday Solutions. We build DuoWallet, a shared budgeting and expense-tracking app for couples, families and friends ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App or this website.

2. Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Account information: Name, email address, and optionally a phone number when you sign up.
- Financial data: Budget amounts, expense amounts, expense categories, notes, and savings goals that you manually enter.
- Group data: Group names, member names, and split expense records when you use the Split Groups feature.
Information collected automatically:
- Authentication data: Firebase Authentication manages your login. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple's privacy relay email may be used.
- Device information: We do not collect device identifiers, IDFA, or advertising IDs.
- Usage data: We may collect anonymised crash reports and basic usage analytics to improve the app.
Information we do NOT collect:
- Bank account numbers, card numbers, or any payment credentials
- SMS messages or notification content from your device
- Location data
- Contacts (we request access only if you choose to add group members from your contacts, and we never store your contact list)
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features
- To sync your financial data between you and your partner/group members in real time
- To send important account notifications (e.g., email verification, budget alerts)
- To manage your subscription and process payments (via Apple In-App Purchase or Razorpay on our website)
- To respond to your support requests
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase (Firestore) servers located in the asia-south1 (Mumbai) region. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
We implement security rules that ensure:
- Only you and your linked partner/group members can access your financial data
- No other user can read, modify, or delete your expenses or budget
- Subscription status can only be updated by verified payment systems
5. Sharing of Information
We share your information only in these limited cases:
- With your partner/group: Expense and budget data is shared with the specific people you have invited and linked with in the App. This is the core function of the App.
- Service providers: We use Firebase (Google) for data storage and authentication, and Razorpay for payment processing on our website. These providers have their own privacy policies.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

You have the right to:
- Access your personal data stored in the App at any time (visible in Settings)
- Correct your name and contact information (via Settings → Edit Profile)
- Delete your account and all associated data (see our Account Deletion page)

7. Children's Privacy
DuoWallet is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
